Creating Homes. Rebuilding Lives.
Furniture Friends does what no other organization does in the Portland area. Did you know that a great number of people living in Portland area apartments have no beds, no tables, no chairs, and/or no place to store the few possessions they do own? Did you know that many children right in our metropolitan area are sleeping on the floor?
Our goal is to acquire used furniture that might otherwise wind up in the landfill and provide to people in desperate need. Our furniture recipients are people who are just emerging from homelessness, new immigrants, people dealing with physical or mental disabilities, Veterans, victims of domestic violence or abuse, and people battling chronic illness.
We provide them with essential furniture that helps them create a new home for themselves and jumpstarts the process of rebuilding their lives.

Please Donate and Help Us Create Homes for Men, Women and Children in Need!
We are a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit and all of our funding comes from grants and community donations.
Your tax-deductible contribution will help fund our part-time staff member, equipment, truck maintenance, and gasoline. A donation is not followed by a barrage of appeals nor is it wasted on huge administrative costs. A donation will go almost fully and directly to getting furniture to people in need.
Furniture Friends welcomes gifts of stocks and securities. For more information about making such a donation, please contact us by following the “contact us” tab at the top of this page.
